See the sophisticated bride in the top left corner of this blog? That's me!!! ... Or that's how I imagine I would look if I were to get to be a bride again any time soon. But since I've been married for 8 years to a wonderful guy, I can only pretend. I've been doing just that and have had lots of fun creating different "My Inner Brides" over at The Knot.
By using this cool new avatar tool, you can create your very own "Inner Bride". Several options, from hair color and style, to body shape, to different accessories, give you the ability to create up to 20 different brides. Have fun with it and create a red-headed bridezilla with horns, or a princess bride with fun, glimmering tiara.
When you're done, you can embed the code directly to your Blog, your Website, or even send the pictures to your friends. You could also create your own personalized online Bridal shower or Bachelorette invitations, by saving it as a jpeg file, and using Evite or Sendomatic. So many possibilities!
Potato Mamma Designs
Astrid Mueller, designer and owner of Potato Mamma Designs helped with the creation of this tool, by designing the graphics that compose the brides. I have recently had the pleasure of getting to know the very talented artist through lots of emails and phone calls, and have found out some great news.
Astrid is currently working on her own online invitation design company, which should be launching by the middle of 2009. She will be catering towards couples getting married, by custom designing images of the bride and groom for their own very unique, very modern wedding invitations.
